Transboundary Cooperation
in Lynx Conservation and Management

Das Trans-Lynx-Projekt war ein deutsch-tschechisches Kooperationsprojekt. Es führte Maßnahmen zum Schutz und zum Management des Luchses erstmals großräumig und populationsübergreifend durch.
Zum Projektgebiet gehörten die Regierungsbezirke Niederbayern, Oberpfalz und Oberfranken sowie die Bezirke Budweis und Pilsen auf tschechischer Seite.

Im Rahmen des zweijährigen Projekts (2013-2015) sollten folgende Projektziele erreicht werden:

Vorbereitung, Umsetzung und Ausbau der grenzüberschreitenden Kooperation durch regelmäßige Treffen und Workshops
Harmonisierung der Datenerhebung und -auswertung als Voraussetzung für eine populationsübergreifende Bestandsschätzung
Analyse der Überlebensfähigkeit (PVA) und des Habitats
Abgestimmte Öffentlichkeitsarbeit und Umweltbildung
 

Im Einzelnen wurden dazu im jeweiligen Land folgende
Maßnahmen
umgesetzt:

Luchs-Monitoring: Fotofalleneinsatz (DE+CZ), Sammeln von Zufallshinweisen (DE+CZ) und Abspuraktionen (CZ)
Ausbildung des Netzwerks Große Beutegreifer mit regionalen Treffen im bayerisch-tschechischen Grenzraum (DE)
Weiterführung des Ausgleichsfonds Große Beutegreifer (DE)
Informationsveranstaltungen und Workshops für Landnutzer (DE+CZ)
Etablierung von Luchspatrouillen mit Jugendlichen (CZ)
Informationsstände in der Böhmerwaldregion (CZ)
Entwicklung von abgestimmten Material zur Öffentlichkeitsarbeit und zur Umweltbildung (DE+CZ)
Aktualisierung bzw. Weiterentwicklung bestehender Websites und Broschüren (DE+CZ)

The Trans-Lynx-Project running form 2013-2015 was a german-czech cooperation implementing coordinated conservation and management measures for the lynx on population level. The study area comprises the administrative units of Niederbayern, Oberpfalz, Oberfranken, Pilsen and Budweis.

The following project objectives were to be achieved:

Preparation, implementation and development of transboundary cooperation by regular meetings and workshops
Harmonisation of data collection and data analysis as a prerequisite for estimation of population status
Population viability analysis (PVA) and habitat analysis
Coordinated public relations work and conservation education
 

The following measures were implemented in the respective country:

Lynx monitoring: camera-trapping (DE+CZ), collection of chance observations (DE+CZ) and snow tracking (CZ)
Education of Large Carnivore Network with regional meetings along the bavarian-czech border region (DE)
Continuation of the Large Carnivore Fund (DE)
Organisation of informative meetings and workshops for land users (DE+CZ)
Etablishment of lynx patrols with teenagers (CZ)
Information desks in the Sumava region (CZ)
Development of coordinated documents for public relations work and conservation education (DE+CZ)
Update and development of websites and brochures to inform the public about the project (DE+CZ)
